Here is the article which is featured in my double page spread, the orange text is the interviewer:
Aidan Munnelly is on a one way ticket to legendary status, after emerging into the spotlight early 2012 with the infectious debut single ‘Grownup Gatherings’ he’s showed no signs of slowing down, and managed to cause controversy along the way.
How’s it going Aidan?
Things are going great man, 2012’s been wicked so I’m hoping next year will bring good things too!
Well GSOQ predicts 2013 to be a another mammoth year for you. Some people reckon the number 13 is unlucky, do you have any weird superstitions or pre show rituals?
Nah, I don't really believe any of that superstitious crap, people look like right knobs when you see them trying to avoid that third drain!
Ha, and pre show ritual?
Some people have like a routine don't they? Aha I don't do that kinda stuff, I don't have a specific list of things I gotta do before a gig. I’m not just sitting there and thinking “oh shit I forgot to do my 100 push ups, must not forget to eat 20 red grapes then 20 green” That’s bullshit man.
We heard Adele likes to do 100 push ups before her shows
Ha I bet she does!
You’ve been supporting mike skinner on tour, what was that like?
Mike’s a top guy so its been really really fun, its an honour for someone like him to want me to support his shows.
Any solo tour plans?
Yeah I’m hoping to do a tour in the summer, the album’s out next week so hopefully my music will branch out to more people and we’ll see the reception it gets.
What can people expect from the album?
I call it the driving album, you know the one you just constantly play in your car, for road trips, all sorts. Its got some fucking tunes on.
At GSOQ HQ we’ve had it on repeat! As well as rapidly growing a massive fan base, you’ve also got support from some of music’s finest artists, who's made you most star struck?
Its been crazy to be honest, I appreciate any support I get. I met Noel Gallagher at the brits and inside I was like a little teenage girl. I grew up listening to bands such as oasis so it was surreal, we chatted for about an hour and he bought me a pint, I mean Noel fucking Gallagher bought me a pint!
Ah yes the brits, you caused quite a stir that night
Aha yeah that caused a bit of controversy. I don't regret it though, it was featured in newspapers which I thought was funny so in some ways it brought me publicity and more people got to hear about me.
Talk us through what happened…
I was nominated for a brit award in the best newcomers category alongside other great artists like Emile Sande, so of course I didn't really expect to win as I’d only released 2 singles at that point. I don't know why but when the winner was announced (Emile Sande) I kinda felt angry that I’d been nominated, I know it’s a massive honour but I was virtually unknown at that point and then the camera pans to you when you’ve lost and I just lost it so I stuck my finger up at the camera!
Do you think you’ll be invited back to the brits next year?
I don't know, plenty of artists have done the same, if not worst in the past and they seem to be alright. For me I’m not massively bothered about awards and stuff, its just a bonus, its nice to get credit for all the work you do but the music comes first.

Thanks for chatting, good luck for the future!
Cheers for that, appreciate it
