Research - Focusing on the photography/features used in magazines - Vogue
Lastly i have focused on
Vogue. Vogue is known to be a sophisticated fashion and lifestyle magazine usually for older
readers and mostly women. On the front cover
the main image is of Julianne
Moore,
and me as a younger person does not know who she is. Underneath
where it is written Julianne Moore it says 'the most glamourous grown
up on screen' the words 'glamourous' and 'grown up' indicate it is a
fashion magazine for an older audience. The image used looks very
professional and fashionable which related to the mode of address of
the magazine. The cover photo looks like she has been styled and the
colour spash of pale pink contrasts with her hair and clothes. As
mentioned above it says 'on screen' which is an older saying for either
on tv or in a film, it is a more sophisticated way of saying it than it
would do in a magazine such as heat which sometimes features film
reviews. After not knowing who Julianna Moore was i researched her and
found out that she is an actress starring in films such as The hand
that rocks the cradle and The game change. I also found that she in 52
years old so would be more suited/well known to the older audience of
the readers.
