Front Cover Feedback

So here is my finished front cover:

After working hard on it for a few weeks i had become bias towards my own work and i was happy with this front cover however when i handed it in to my 2 media teachers they disagreed with some of the content. Firstly they heavily criticised my cover image, one big issue they had was that Darius was not facing the camera so was not directly adressing the audience. Also that the quality of the image was not good enough and that when only slightly zoomed into the quality was lost and the image was fuzzy. As well as this they also didn't like the underground setting of my image. One teacher commented on how does it relate to music and the representation i am trying to put across of Darius when the music genre i am doing is not anytype of underground music e.g. dubstep. The other teacher didn't like the background as she claimed the graffiti was too busy and her eyes were drawn to that instead of Darius. This feedback was important to me as i didnt want the focus to be distracted from Darius so i decided to change my image.

Other negative comments included that they didnt like the double sky line at the top as it was too 'chunky' and took up a lot of space, whilst also being quite 'squary' and structered. Another critique was that Dom my model in the top right hand corner looked too moody and should be taken off.

With all these comments i decided to totally revamp my magazine and almost start again however recycle some of the work i had already produced on this cover.
