To the left is a copy of heat magazine. Heat is a weekly entertainment magazine focusing on the latest gossip and goings on of the celebrity world. It repeadetly features reality tv stars as well as other people in the public eye. From the front cover we can see its use of bright colours, prominently pinks immediately gives of the effect of a womans magazine. Its main image is a split of 4 seperate images placed together, again all images used on this front cover are of women and no men feature on this particular cover. The main story accompanying the images is BEACH BODIES as you can see attached are 4 images of skinny female celebs in their bikinis. Another clue to that it is a female orientated magazine is the anchorage text which says 'what do men secretly prefer'. The main target audience for heat is probably teenage girls therefore they may have chosen these particular images as most teenage girls nowadays wish to be skinny and have figures like the celebritys whose images are used. Another thing i noticed with the images heat uses are that they are unposed and natural, because it is a gossip magazine the relaxed genuine nature of the photos gives off the impression that they are taken by paparrazzi again relating back to the gossip side. Also the celebrities may not have been aware their photo was being taken to be used on a magazine so that indicates that whatever is wrote about them inside is not officially their word and will most likely be gossips or opinions of the writer.
